How do we know about clouds?
Satellites Satellites have only come onto the scene in the past fifty years. There are two types of satellites - geostationary and polar orbiting. A disadvantage of satellites is they are expensive and usually highly specialized as far as what they can measure. For this reason, there are several projects that cover a theme of measurements and are participated in by several agencies.
