100 Views of Climate Change website

From SueEllen Campbell
Date March 8, 2013

Greetings, CMMAP E&E colleagues!

If you were at the January E&D retreat, you'll probably have heard me talk about the 100 Views of Climate Change website, and I'm writing now to remind you about that site and ask you to help spread the word about its existence to others who might find it useful. Perhaps, for instance, you belong to a discussion group whose other members might be interested?

On this site, you will find annotations and links to videos, podcasts, books, articles, essays, and websites that convey high-quality information in clear and appealing ways to non-specialist adults, including college-level students, their teachers, and the interested public. Our range is multidisciplinary, ranging from climate science to ecology, agriculture to ethics, communication to policy, economics to energy.

College-level and high-school teachers who handle some aspect of climate change in their courses, but who aren't 100% comfortable with talking about other aspects of the topic, might find this site especially friendly and helpful.

Like all websites, this one is in a constant state of being updated and otherwise improved. Current projects include additional subpages ("Focus on Forests" and "Focus on the Far North," so far, with more coming) and a set of handouts on key information matched with short videos.

As you know, but your colleagues might not, this site is a project of Changing Climates @ Colorado State University, an outreach and education initiative supported in large part by the Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes, an NSF Science and Technology Center headquartered at CSU.

With best wishes,

SueEllen Campbell (website director) & John Calderazzo, Co-Directors of Changing Climates
