How do raindrops form?
This is merely a first draft interface mockup of a planned interactive (microworld/simulation). It is not yet functional!
Questions for the scientists/modelers:
- What are the most appropriate/important variables involved in the formation of raindrops? [current model has temperature, humidity, and aerosol concentration]
- Should the raindrops be falling or floating?
- What is the algorithm relating the input parameters to the output (number of raindrops)?
- Should the raindrops be different sizes, or all the same size?
- What range of values should the user be able to assign to each of the parameters?
- What are realistic values for concentrations (per cm3?) of aerosols and raindrops within a typical cloud? What are realistic sizes for aerosols particles and raindrops?
