The Center for Multiscale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes (CMMAP) is hosting
its second annual
CMMAP Graduate Colloquium July 22-28, 2008 in Fort Collins,
Colorado.
Agenda :
Presentations & Resources
All graduate students funded through CMMAP or working on CMMAP related
activities are
invited to attend. There is no fee for attending the
colloquium.

The CMMAP Graduate Student Colloquium is an opportunity for CMMAP graduate
students across seven institutions to develop contacts and to learn together in
a small group setting that is specifically designed to meet student's needs.
The colloquium has been designed based in part from students' comments from
the summer 2007 CMMAP Graduate Student Colloquium, as well as feedback during
our January 2008 team meeting. A draft agenda will
be submitted to all attendees and feedback will be accepted to ensure that
student-identified topics are covered in a meaningful and engaging way.
The format will be interactive with time built in for collaboration, formal
training and social/networking. It will be held at Colorado State
University
in the Atmospheric Science Building in Fort Collins, Colorado.
This CMMAP activity is scheduled directly before the CMMAP Team Meeting,
which you are highly encouraged to attend, as our funding agency likes to
see your smiling faces. We have intentionally scheduled the colloquium
this way so the burden on your CMMAP funding is lessened. We expect your
institutions/departments to pay for your airline travel here (for the team
meeting), as well as your meals and hotel expenses for the team meeting, and
any ground transportation here and at home.

CSU will pay for your meals and lodging during the colloquium -- so July 21 through 27 we'll arrange to
directly pay for your lodging.
Your meals will either be provided, and/or reimbursed for the same dates.
For funding and travel questions, please contact
Cindy Carrick, CMMAP
Managing Director, at
cindy@atmos.colostate.edu.
She
will be in touch with you as we move closer to the colloquium dates.
For questions regarding agenda and format, please contact
Christine Aguilar,
CMMAP Science Education manager at
