PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS
K-8
The Little Shop of Physics is a unique program at Colorado State University providing a hands-on science experience to K-12 students. They visit area schools, visit remote schools on Road Trips, host an Open House each year and produce EveryDay Science, a series of science videos. And don't forget Weather and Science Day with the Colorado Rockies.

CMMAP's Learn About Clouds, Climate, Weather & Modeling website walks you through the How's, Why's and What's of these topics. Click the image to the left to get started!

TEENS
Little Shop of Physics isn't just for little kids‒their programs are awesome for teens, too! Check 'em out.

Looking for a science program mixed with fun and geared towards teens? We've got what you want! Front Range Teen Science Cafés are monthly gatherings at an Old Town Fort Collins venue with great speakers and interesting science topics.

UNDERGRADS
Through the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, ESMEI offers paid summer undergraduate internships at Colorado State University. This 10 week program is an exciting research opportunity in the fields of cloud science, climate and climate change, weather, and modeling. Click here to go to our REU website.

GRAD STUDENTS Annual Young Scientist Symposium on Atmospheric Research
Colorado State University's AAAR Student Chapter and the FORTCAST AMS Local Chapter are excited to announce the 5th Annual Young Scientist Symposium on Atmospheric Research (YSSAR), to be held at Colorado State University on Friday, October 9th, 2015. We welcome all graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research scientists from across the Front Range who are working in meteorology, atmospheric science, and allied fields. The topics include but are not limited to:
  • Atmospheric chemistry and aerosols
  • Atmospheric dynamics
  • Climate and climate modeling
  • Cloud physics
  • Environmental health and air quality
  • Land-ocean-atmosphere interactions
  • Mesoscale meteorology
  • Remote sensing
  • Tropical Meteorology
