The Journal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems (JAMES) is now part of AGU's highly respected journal family. JAMES brings together scholarly articles on a wide range of disciplines centered around physical modeling of the Earth system, including simulations of weather, climate, and other geophysical processes. JAMES began publishing peer reviewed papers in 2009. JAMES was spearheaded by CMMAP and initially published in collaboration with the institute of Global Environment and Society (IGES). JAMES was transferred to AGU on November 1, 2010, and is now listed on the AGU publications page along with JGR, GRL, and the rest. The official announcement was made at the Fall AGU meeting in December, 2010. In its new home at AGU, JAMES will keep its modeling focus, and it will continue to be an open access journal. David Randall will continue as Chief Editor. The full story may be found in the Eos article here. Book on the development of GCMs The Development of Atmospheric General Circulation Models: Complexity, Synthesis and Computation is a new book on the developmental history of general circulation models. The hardcover text is published by Cambridge University Press. ISBN 9780521190060 Follow this link to learn more about this book. Other KT Activities and Resources
