  <h2>Teaching Weather and Climate<br> 2007 Summer Teacher's Course</h2>

   &nbsp;<p>

  The first Summer Teacher's Course took place at Colorado State University<br>
  July 16-19 with a day at NCAR in Boulder July 20.  The class was taught<br>
  by Brian Jones and Scott Denning and was a 2-credit course intended for<br>
  middle-school/junior high and high school science teachers.<p>
  The intent was to provide a semester's worth of college-level content on<br>
  the basic physics of the atmosphere, weather, climate, climate modeling,<br>
  and climate change as well as demonstrate dozens of inquiry-based<br>
  activities suitable for use in classrooms.<p>
  Teachers were provided with all relevant materials and documentation for<br>
  using these activities, and wrote a brief report on their<br>
  experience with these exercises in their classes.<p>
