Teaching Weather and Climate
2007 Summer Teacher's Course

The first Summer Teacher's Course took place at Colorado State University
July 16-19 with a day at NCAR in Boulder July 20. The class was taught
by Brian Jones and Scott Denning and was a 2-credit course intended for
middle-school/junior high and high school science teachers.

The intent was to provide a semester's worth of college-level content on
the basic physics of the atmosphere, weather, climate, climate modeling,
and climate change as well as demonstrate dozens of inquiry-based
activities suitable for use in classrooms.

Teachers were provided with all relevant materials and documentation for
using these activities, and wrote a brief report on their
experience with these exercises in their classes.

Below are resources for participants.
